Hospitality Management and Tourism students in Scott Meuret’s Revenue Management 350 course were introduced to Google Sheets- Google’s cloud-based spreadsheet software included with Google Workspace. With Google Sheets, students learned how to create and edit spreadsheets directly in the web browser.  The offering of the digital badge was employer-driven, as more employers in RTM require the use of spreadsheets and collaboration tools in the workplace.

Students learned how to;

• Describe how to add, import, sort, and filter data in Google Sheets.

• Perform calculations and visualize data using Google Sheets.

• Demonstrate how to track changes and manage versions in Google Sheets.

• Describe how to collaborate in Google Sheets using comments and action items.

In the fall of 2022, Twenty-one students completed this course, they earned the Digital Badge displayed below.  After passing all the projects and the exam, students can add another skill set to their resume as they enter the job market.
